UP^ is a spacious wooden cabin for two people (and two dogs). Indoor/outdoor living at its finest with french doors opening from the bedroom and kitchen onto a large decking area. Ideal for those long summer evenings. In winter there is a log burner, a baby grand piano and record player for both relaxing day times and cosy nights in.
A king size double bed with organic cotton bedding. Baths both indoors and out, a toilet and shower. Central heating and a wood burner. Electric oven and four LPG gas ring burner. A small fridge with an icebox, a dishwasher and central heating. A large TV with Roku smart TV stick. A mini-grand piano which is quite playable but has been loved for many years by our children which may become apparent in the way the high notes play.
Bathing under the stars and lying in bed with doors that open onto a huge elevated decking so you feel you're living in the trees. A secluded outdoor bath to relax in while listening to the birds or watching the stars which is even more astounding through the telescope. Enjoying being in an area of low light pollution with floating tea lights above your heads.
Make bread over the fire pit with ingredients and recipes left for you to experiment with. Listen to records on the record player, look at the stars through the telescope and experiment with the fresh herbs in your cooking. Reconnect with nature and each other in a truly relaxing environment and return feeling recharged.
Stroll the lanes or hike further afield with many beautiful walks right from the door. Cycle the lanes or head into the Forest of Dean and cycle the paths and trails (it's hilly!) Go wild swimming in the Wye or hire a canoe and explore the river without getting your hair wet. The Wild Hare in Tintern (2 miles away) is a great place to eat and drink and has vegetarian and vegan options. Well worth a visit is the Ostrich at Newland which is a real 'pub pub' and serves hearty local meals.
The village shop sells many local products including locally reared meats, cheeses and vegetables.
