Two quirky self catering cabins situated in the beautiful Wye Valley on the edge of the Forest of Dean. Only 30 minutes from the M4/M5 interchange but a million miles from the hustle and bustle of modern day living. Perfect for mini-moons and couples wanting to reconnect with nature.
A nod to hygge philosophy. Hygge, (pronounced hoo-gah) means spending a calm, comfortable time with loved ones. You will find this in our holiday lets. Two beautiful cottages designed so you can unwind and take life at a slower pace. A woodburner, plenty of candles, books to read and board games to play. Organic sheets to sleep in and blankets to cwtch up in. We are huge fans of upcycling and recycling and you will see evidence of this in both properties.
We are committed to minimising the negative impacts our business has on the environment and have been working with Green-Tourism to minimise our impact and are very proud of our Gold Award.
Wyelets consists of two cottages that can be rented individually or together for two couples that would like to holiday together but have some privacy. UP^ is the larger of the two, nestled up in the trees with a large elevated decking area, a baby grand piano and an outdoor bath. The Little House is hidden under a giant oak tree with a small enclosed outdoor space with a hanging 'cocoon' to while away the hours peacefully reading or just gazing up at the tree branches and listening to the birds. The properties are divided by a garden area so feel very separate for couples wanting a romantic getaway.
We think that both cottages are amazing places to stay all year round so there are no peak rates; we simply charge £450 for a short stay at UP^ and £295 for The Little House. You can stay either for the weekend (Friday night to Monday morning) or mid-week from Monday afternoon until Friday Morning. If you'd like to stay for the whole week, it's £795 for UP^ and £525 for The Little House.
Dogs are an additional £15
We may consider shorter stays and different start dates so please get in touch.
We don't actually have Ts&Cs as basically Covid-19 tore up the rule book. We just have a promise and that is to 'Be fair and kind'. When Covid hit we refunded any payments and deposits - we did not hide behind Ts&Cs like big companies. Before Covid when guests have been unable to stay due to unforeseen circumstances we have offered alternative dates at no extra cost. So, put simply, if for any reason you can't stay or have to cut your holiday short speak to us and we promise to Be fair and Kind.
